Another One Bites the Dust (Monday, May. 17, 2004 - 5:16 p.m.) AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!! Another job slipped through my fingers. Not that it was exactly what I wanted, but I felt at least the best chance there. Shitbiscuts. I called regarding a new posting in a district in the nether-regions of the valley, and even they said that there was a note on my file that I had no teaching experience. Argh. Ok, a beef. Yes, I get that as a Guidance Counselor you often are the go-between for the teachers, and certainly need to have a real concept of what they do. But the skills you learn as a teacher are not the skills you use as a counselor. Not to sound concieted, but I think my counseling experience is much more relevant to the job than teaching experience. If I don't get a job for next year, I know I can get a sub certificate to bide my time. But what makes me think I'd have better luck later? This is so stressful. Grrr. |
